Keep up with this meditation and breathing! It only gets better and easier to fit in your schedule. I've been meditating for about 3 years and practicing forms of Pranayama & Kundalini breathing for some time through my line of work, which is Energy Healing. It has erased more anxiety in 3 years than any medical profession could ever rid someone of. I suppose the inner ability and awareness you gain allow you to realize that you will always have more control of yourself than the thing causing your reaction. Immediate access to clarity in a moment that normally shatters the ability to keep your shit together is just one of the many results, it's a beautiful thing.
Especially in darkness.
Nice timing...I've been giving in and having a cigarette here and there after quitting "for good" in 2006. What you said is so true, I needed to hear it. Having to quit smoking, which is the probable outcome from occasional smoking, adds so much unnecessary stress to body, mind and entire life. Not to mention the damage it does physically. So thanks a whole hell of a lot for just ruining the cigarette I have hidden in my car waiting on me, and I mean that. Of course I'll still smoke it, but I doubt I'll be pursuing smoking anymore thanks to this reminder.
I just have to say that I don't watch tv much at all, so I only recently discovered Paranormal State by way of Netflix. I was hooked instantly, because of my childhood and lifetime of "coexisting" I've gotten used to. As of now I have watched almost every episode/season on there in 2 weeks, plus discovered all the amazing photography you do. I could go on and on...Looking forward to seeing Canada pics and whatever else you've got!! --EJ

Hey Serge, love your v/blogs & love your personality. Good for you for quitting smoking and taking time to reflect on the habits you want to change. Man, do I need to do that myself! Looking forward to seeing your photo book. You guys are so generous with your fans (met you in Hollywood), but definitely know it's OK to set boundaries - there are lots of emotional vampires out there - and enjoy your private life. Just because you're a public figure doesn't mean you owe the fans all your time and energy. And your true fans know that. Peace!

Gotta love that Bill Murphy. ;)

Glad to hear Pranayama is working wonders for you, only wish they had it for android phones.

I'm with you on the workout front; I kept saying "I can't afford the gym membership" or "I don't have the resources". Truth is, workout resources are all around, the simplest here being a gorgeous marina that not only is a nice long stretch, perfect for a run, but also has markings on the asphalt to record how long you've run/walked/power-walked.

Point is, just need a little creativity and the world can provide the resources, be it for working out or otherwise.

I have a suggestion for your next vlog...

How about showing your viewers what Pranayama is all about? Show them the breathing techniques you are learning by physically doing them on cam? Just an idea.

I'm glad it's working for you. Anytime anyone says they don't have time to put what they do into practice is really out of laziness, or procrastination. Practicing methods of meditation and breathing can be done at any time, really. Of course, when you start off, it's easier to just find a place that is quiet, but as you get better at it, you can do it just about anywhere. Sometimes I do it while on the bus or train, sometimes.

It's the same with working out. There are methods to keep active, as an adult you are meant to at least do 2 hours weekly of rigorous work outs, which is really 30 minutes 4 days a week, or 40 minutes 3 days a week. It's nothing. You'd be surprised at the ways you can get this done!

I agree with what you said on your vlog, and it's definitely nice to see you putting this into practice. Can't wait to hear about your progress.

By the way... I quit smoking cigarettes. Gave my last pack away. :)
