A few photographs before I leave into the night

Hey guys,

Hope everyone had a happy thanksgiving. Who gained an extra 10 pounds? Here are some photos I took during my warm up run through the city. I am in love....in love with my new camera. I am off into the night to see what I can capture. I am also gonna apply some of these to that crazy challenge.

Society Misfortune

Beefcake

Stay safe and remember, do something positive.

Oh and the watermark, very nice. It is clean, smart and simple. It works very well

Very nice pictures. You are so lucky that you went to NYC. That is one of the greatest places on earth. I think that I gained the 10 pounds that I just lost :(. But the pumpkin pie was so good. Oh well.

I have been taking photographs for 10 years and your photographs are quite interesting and also lovely. I very much like the Society Misfortune with the "Give and you shall receive" above - very ironic. The second photgraph was interesting...what was the shutter speed on that? I liked how the woman was in focus, but the other 2 people were blured.
The only thing I would suggest would be to watch your exposure, which is a little on the underexposed side. Of course, that can be the effect you were going for, but if not, I would increse the exposure a bit.
But quite lovely. I am a big fan!

Did you get mistaken for Bruce Wayne in your glasses? Or, you know...Arrested for the pedo beard? :p

Your camera is so awesome! The details in all the photos you posted are just...sooo cool, for lack of a better word, and besides, it is my favourite word. Have a great time running around and we cannot wait to see what else you will bring us through your lens! Stay safe on the mean streets....
from lin....
btw, Lake Erie was a wonderful shade of blue green with whitecaps rolling like a wave at Beaver Stadium. The trees were white against a slate grey sky. And us without a camera...grrrr...lol! And no, it hasn't frozen over yet...

Amazing pictures, Serg!

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and a good time with your family and friends!

Looking forward to seeing more pictures!!!

I love how you're growing so fast into your photography!!!
"Society Misfortune" is absolutely beautiful in a sad and unfortunate way. I love how the surroundings of this man set everything up for the photo...simple but powerful.

And I sort of laughed at "beefcake". Only because I can't see anyone else taking a photo like that and giving it that title. Brilliant and funny.

Can't wait to see more photos!!!

Thanksgiving was rather boring. Slept through most of it as I worked the night before. But pie is always amazing....even when your belly feels like it may rebel against you and all the 10 pounds of food you ate...lol.

I'm just curious as to how you photograph people without them thinking that you're insane.

I had someone come up to me once on the street, and snap a picture with a professional looking camera, and then just walk away, and I stood there for a minute just like "what?" and then I laughed it off, but really, how do you do it?

:]

Lol... I'm lovin the photos. The first one is my favorite... though "Beefcake" made me laugh when I saw it and the title. As always, nice work! :)

Steve, you're obviously gay, right?
I mean, your name is even "obviously Steve". How gay!

Anyways, back to Sergey!
The first "Society Misfortune" photo of the homeless man makes me want to cry, and that's actually a good thing. When a photo can provoke such an emotion in someone, such as making them tear up, it means the photographer who captured it has some serious skills. Muchos kudos Serg!

Rachel really opened up the flood gates. So for every post is someone going to hate on sergey? BTW if sergy is gay that is a great waste of man.

Amy, yes, I am gay...

...and I have the hots for Sergey :)
