I would like to introduce a new segment on my blog...following TED Tuesday's and coming right before Political Thursday's; I want to share photography works done by others.
I thought I would start this one of with a photo done by none other then...Ryan Buell of Paranormal State. He had this idea to get this group of us together and setting us up while we were shooting at a certain location in West Virginia. Perhaps you guys can take a stab at where with the given background....
I think Ryan did a great job on setting up the photo. I could see this being on a photo spread in Entertainment Weekly. I like photos that hold hidden themes and messages...photos that depict difference views for the different people.
Once again...many thanks for stopping by.
Best,
Serg

great photo! Are you rubbing of on him or is he one of those annoying people who can do everything?
Awesome photo...So many fascinating things about the picture to list here. Keep up the good work, Sergey!
Tell Ryan that photo is way too cool for school!
Love, love, love the photo! Thumbs up to Ryan! :D
I love the mysterious dark colors, and how the photo symbolizes each of you individually and as a whole. I can SO totally see this on a mag cover. Like frogie said, "Is there anything Ryan can't do?" LOL, I'm sure there is...he just doesn't want people to know! Haha
How was Zombieland??
Hey Serg,
I just saw this on the JPG website. Thought you might be interested in it. They are having a lightpainting photo challenge ;) I know you're really busy, but maybe you could enter some of your past works? Just a thought!

Some of them are super cool!
This is stunning. I'm not sure whose pose is my favorite...they're all intriguing. Would love to see some more in the future!
I see know one guessed hwere th photo was taken-looks like Waverly to me.
Frogie, I believe it was at the WV State Penitentiary :) aka: Moundsville
what the hell is heather holding?!
This might sound weird, but this picture totally looks like "the last supper" Paranormal State style! I see it especially in the way Michelle and Father Bob are talking to each other, and because you are all in little groups all along the 2 tables. Anyone else see this? Also I love the levels.
Nice work.
Haha, Kristen! That is exactly what I was going to say....sort of like a Da Vinci's "Last Supper"-type painting in modern form. :-)
Hey,
Just thought I'd let you know about this amazing photographer named Nick Brandt... Really, really fascinating work. If you haven't heard of him already you should check him out. Truly inspiring.

I didn't even think of the last supper. I was to busy giggling looking at Michelle and the priest doing what appeared to me as a sceen from the "Godfather"
Wow, I have to say I'm loving Ryan's pic. Is it just me or is Heather holding a severed head?
really great shot. looking forward to the new season!
I really love photos that create such cryptic messages & meanings, like you said! It is thought provoking and can almost tell its own story!
Kudos! I do love your thoughts & pictures that you share. I appreciate the opportunity to see things through other people's eyes.
Thanks!
Great composition. Love the vampire and the priest having a discussion in the background. Now why does Josh look so fascinated with Katrina? (at least he's got his coffee lol)
Irina
Great photo. Everyone's essence was captured really well. I have to agree with the comment about the picture being like the Last Supper Paranormal State style. That should be incorporated into the new season somehow. Ryan's talented. Sergey seems to be a good teacher!
Wow! That photo is really eye catching. I love how everyone is doing their own thing and representing their own interests and yet you all seem to act and come together as a whole. Thank you for posting that! Good job to both you and ryan. =) Thanks!
Jeanine
