hey all

Hey there folks,

I am about 2 hours away from hopping on the plane and heading towards our next investigation. From what I heard the premiere of new episodes did well and people are really liking them. Just a few more left to film till we are done. Hopefully we will have a small break. Oh and if the preview for next weeks episode is what I think it is, then I definitely recommend you guys watch it.

Saw Curious Case of Benjamin Button. For those who have yet to see it, do go. It is one of those life touching movies that makes you want to go on an adventure of some sort after you watch it. You ever get that after a movie? After I watch any Die Hard movie I feel like I can take on any terrorist attack. After I watched Inside Job, I thought it was pretty simple to rob a bank. Planned it all out my cocktail napkin, but left it at the bar. I also watched the Orphange and now I think I can be some sort of ghost...hunter.

Yep, I did manage to do a quick photoshoot of Ryan during one of our investigations. If you guys are interested I will put some of the mediocre and some of the better ones up. But all this was made possible thanks to Olympus. So I really thank them.

So how many of you folks been following your new year's resolutions? For the most part I have been pretty consistent when it comes to working out and I would like to say that I have been eating more healthy then I ever was. Clementines are my new best friends. I should try and do a photo of them to fit with my 51 word photo challenge. But aside from the regular new year goals, you don't really hear thay many unusual ones...like maybe learning to play the air guitar better, or eating more meat to insure that we remain dominant over the animal species.

Remember to put your seat in the upright position, your tray tables are up and your seat belts are fastened.

Serg

The Orphange is a brilliant film and very much under rated!

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button looked really good maybe I should see it. I highly recommend Ghost Town. It was hilarious. I was going to watch Paranormal State on Monday but I had to be up at 6 am but my friend watched it and he said that it was really good. I forgot what my resolution was so my new one will to be to remember more things. :)

Benjamin Buttons was incredible. I have never been so attached to a movie. Of course I bawled at the end.. but that's what girls do. :) Definitely proof that no matter what ails you, if you want to do things, you can.

Hope you have a great flight, and a smooth investigation (oh right, you're a *paranormal* investigator..) See you soon.

The new episodes of Paranormal State have been awesome! My sister and I call each other and are like "can you believe what just happened?" I like that you have included Michelle Belanger more in the investigations. She is awesome too! Keep up the good work and as for my New Year's Resolution, I am still furiously documenting Heather's earrings from all the shows. Ice Cream Cones, Aliens, Dangly Hearts, 80's Neon Stripes, I really do love them all.

Also, If you liked The Orphanage, Pans Labyrinth is really good too if you have not seen it. I agree Benjamin Button may be the Best Move Ever.

I fantasize like that when I watch TV shows too. Dr. G Medical Examiner and I want to cut open dead people. Forty-Eight Hours and I want to be a homicide investigator. Dog the Bounty Hunter and I want to be a bounty hunter.

PLEASE put up photos! We're dying to see what you've been up to.

After I watched Harry Potter and the prisioner of azkaban I was petrified of Dementors for weeks...but I don't think that comes under what you were getting at. LOL But after I watched Paranormal State or Most Haunted I believe I can be a paranormal investigator as well! xD! I would love to see the photos of Ryan, and I think my best friend would love it as well. >.< My resolution was to go back to high school and try and get back on my feet after my nervous break down. And i'm doing it, slowly, but i'm getting there. And eating meat to keep our dominance over the animal speacies?! if you ever met my brothers chicken you'd think they will rule over us sometimes, it attacks anything and everything in it's way.

Just a mean little side note which is funny when it works. If you sit next to someone who hates flying, make sure when you go over water point and yell out 'THERE IS A WHALE DOWN THERE.' And if you go through a flock of birds, and then hit an air pocket, just state in a casual tone. "We hit a bird."I did this when I was a kid going up to The Gold Coast and my sister fainted three times in a row.

Just another quick quick note, what is a Clemetine?

Oh Goodness, me too. I love tangerines & clementines! It's like a sickness, I can't seem to stop eating them.

I think The Orphanage is the top ghost movie on my list..not only because it was a good story, but it did a good job portraying a mother's emotion. Did you feel her pain? And wait a minute... you are a ghost.. hunter. haha.
I'm the same though... I'll watch kung fu movies and I think I'm a kung fu master assassin.

Haven't watched The curious case for BB, but I've read the short story. Heard the movie was hella long tho... haha irony!

Anyway, hope the investigation goes well for you and your team. And I'm sure you'll do great with your friend Olympus! Stay safe man.

Well, here I am, after having just called off work for tomorrow b/c I am not feeling well, and you're asking aobut our New Year's resolutions. I was doing so well working out in the weight room at the school where I teach BEFORE Christmas....and then I got sick over Christmas break and it's been a challenge with the weather and meetings to get back INTO my good habit. Now I'm sick again. ssiiiggghhhh...ever notice when you are sick that eating well is almost impossible to do? On top of that I realized the other day I really have to force myself and make a real effort to eat fruit in the winter!!! But I have a bag of grapefruit sitting here, so methinks I'll have one tomorrow!

Would love to see more of your photo shoot with Ryan, would love to see your pix from Amsterdam....I mean, dang boy, I die to see street scenes in foreign countries b/c I think those have the best "flavor" of the country.

So you recommend Benjamin Buttons? If that's the case I'll really have to consider it. Next movie I'm getting revved up to see is Angels and Demons, based on Dan Brown's novel. I hear there's more controversy brewing over it. makes you wonder what The Church has to hide.

Were you glued to a TV for the Inauguration? I was! I've been a news junkie ever since I started supporting Obama in the summer!
Ciao for now!

lol i know exactly what you mean. after i watched Gone in 60 Seconds i have a unerving need to steel a porch and drive very very fast. i too am working on eating better and walked 1/4 mile to and from campus everyday. one of my new years resolutions was to drink more and i am certainly obtaining that goal :D as well as cooking more often, i love to cook but fear that i'm not very good at it. and to socialize more, thats also going as planed. just live one day at a time. have fun on your investigation. :D

Just me again. I got to thinking about it....you need to train Ryan or someone, preferably Ryan, to use that new camera of yours and do a photo shoot of YOU!!! Or do more of the 2 of you together!!

People keep deterring me away from seeing Benjamin Button because it's so long. But I will make a note of seeing it because no one has said that it wasn't worth it watching.

I'm glad your keeping up with your new years resolution. I think that new years resolutions are just a way to juke people into feeling badly about themselves but I make one every year. Mine was normal.. quit smoking and work out. I've been working out but I haven't quit smoking.. although I've made it a point not to smoke before or after I work out.. and thats sort of an accomplishment.

The best new years resolution I've heard was a guy who said he was going to pick his socks up off the floor. I thought that was a good one, because lord knows why guys can't pick their socks up.. or why they take their socks off in the kitchen, bathroom, living room, etc.. or what they did with their socks after they were off. I can give you at LEAST 4 reasons why their is never a matching pair of socks.

Hope you travel safely. And with lots of socks?

"The Orphanage" was incredibly good. Have you seen "Juliet of the Spirits?" It's a Fellini film from the 60s or 70s, I think, and I felt like the tone of it was very similar to "The Orphanage."

Oh I always enjoy Paranormal State. Now I actually look forward to Mondays. At first I was unsure about Benjamin but i'll take your word for it. I can wipe out a whole box of clementines within a day. As for the resolution, I gave up on that a few years ago. It never worked out. I would eitther forget it, change it more than once, or just get lazy. I save myself for Lent.

Clementines and tangerines rock! Far better than regular sized oranges. My New Years resolutions are going alright. I find it hard to stick with 2 of them. The first one is to stop consuming dairy (you see I am allergic to dairy and it is very very hard to find completely dairy free products especially when they disguise the word milk i.e. casein). My other resolution that I am having an issue with is not consuming pop (soda) as I need the caffeine intake but HATE coffee/tea. Yuck. I think a lot of people's resolutions are to work out more, but good luck!
